Investigation of octupole collectivity near the <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:mrow><mml:mi>A</mml:mi><mml:mo>=</mml:mo><mml:mn>72</mml:mn></mml:mrow></mml:math> shape-transitional point

Enhanced octupole collectivity is expected in the neutron-deficient Ge, Se and Kr isotopes with neutron number $N \approx 40$ has indeed been observed for $^{70,72}$Ge. Shape coexistence configuration mixing are, however, a notorious challenge theoretical models trying to reliably predict this mass region, which known feature rapid shape changes changing nucleon spin of system. To further investigate microscopic configurations causing prolate-oblate-triaxial transition at $A 72$ their influence on collectivity, rare $^{72}$Se $^{74,76}$Kr were studied via inelastic proton scattering inverse kinematics. While significantly enhanced strength $\sim 32$ Weisskopf units (W.u.) was $^{72}$Se, only strengths 15$ W.u. $^{74,76}$Kr. In combination existing data, new data clearly question simple origin around = 40$. The present work establishes two regions distinct sudden increase $A=72$ transitional point.
